Job Summary
Wisemen Multimedia, LLC is seeking experienced Information Technology Specialists to support an Education Center. This position is responsible for administering and maintaining the Education Center's information technology environment, including Windows workstations and servers, network infrastructure, computer laboratories, testing systems, audiovisual equipment, and end-user support. Successful candidates will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of mission-critical IT systems in a federal environment. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused professional who can troubleshoot technical issues, minimize system downtime, and support continuous technology improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows-based desktops, servers, local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi infrastructure, printers, audiovisual systems, and computer-based testing environments.
- Provide responsive technical support to Education Center personnel by diagnosing, resolving, and documenting hardware, software, and network issues while minimizing operational downtime.
- Perform routine system maintenance, daily inspections, backups, equipment inventory, lifecycle management, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable system performance.
- Develop technical documentation, maintain system configurations, prepare weekly activity reports, and recommend technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Support cybersecurity and information assurance requirements by safeguarding sensitive information, complying with federal policies, participating in required security training, and maintaining accountability for government IT assets.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems, desktop support, server administration, or network administration.
- Current CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Working knowledge of information security best practices and customer-focused technical support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support users in a professional environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain installation access and successfully meet all applicable government security requirements.
Preferred
- Experience supporting federal government IT environments.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, networking equipment, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and audiovisual technologies.
- Familiarity with education systems, testing center technologies, or enterprise IT asset management.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, equipment inventories, and operational reports.
- Additional industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, Network+, or related certifications).
